Submission guidelines

Basic requirements

All contributions are accepted for consideration on the understanding that they have been endorsed by each author, are original, and have not been published whole or in part elsewhere. Please read the download-able Publication Agreement prior to submission to ensure the conditions are acceptable. No submissions will be published without a completed publication agreement.

Format guide

The format style for this journal is based on the American Psychological Association (APA) standards. The APA website (http://www.apastyle.org/) provides information at no cost as well as detailed reference information and validation software for purchase.
Note however, that we have made a small number of modifications so that authors can submit manuscripts in a form that is as close as possible to how a final copy would appear in MAI Review.
It is strongly recommended that you down-load and use the journal’s template to format your article.

How to submit a manuscript

Please submit the material online. This allows the author to keep track of progress through the review and editorial stages and also to handle any subsequent revisions, editing and proofreading.

Acceptance process

Article submissions are blind reviewed, overseen by members of the Editorial Team and published at the editor’s discretion. If accepted, the authors are required to complete the Publication Agreement. Communications between editorial staff and persons submitting material for publication will be through the web-based system in the first instance, supplemented by e-mail where necessary. The editor can be contacted via the editorial e-mail address.

The accepted articles are published online at the earliest opportunity following receipt of the completed Publication Agreement. The complete article is published both in Portable Document Format (PDF) and online format (HTML).

Contributions to MAI Forum may be made directly by authors in the first instance. Editorial overview and discretion will be exercised to maintain suitable standards of communication.
